Q) What are reasons for not using if you don't?
A) Seen it mentioned all over the place, but never found the time to
investigate

Q) Do you use another php cms or blogging program?
A) Mambo v4.6

Q) Any other comments / rants
A) Spent a long time looking around at Various CMS systems, and nailed it
down to a shortlist of 2 - Mambo and Joomla. 

I went with Mambo because it had been around for much longer, so had better
support/components.

As Doug says, Mambo really makes you work if you want to customise/add
anything. Tracking it through the layers of code without a full IDE is
painful work. I don't know how much better Joomla is, but I'll give it a try
for my next major CMS project.
