Hello folks,

Just to let you know that the October meeting is all arranged (this time
nearly a fortnight in advance!).

Another month, another new venue. This time, we've hired the rather swanky
top floor bar at The Old Crown Public House, on New Oxford Street (just east
of Tottenham Court Road tube). It's also close to Holborn, Covent Garden,
Russell Square, Leicester Square and Goodge Street, with plenty of buses
passing along the road outside (1, 8, 19, 25, 38, 55, 98, 242) or nearby (7,
10, 14, 24, 29, 73, 134, 176, 390).

So, we'll be in the private room on the second floor of the venue, and this
is our regular meeting - basically a monthly PHP PubCon - which is held on
the first Thursday of every month.

Meet PHP users, professional developers and recruiters near you! Come to PHP
London's October 2007 meeting to exchange ideas and talk about code,
architecture, innovation, and open source in general. Anyone interested in
PHP is welcome!

7:00-7:55 - informal drinks, snacks and chat
7:55-8:00 - welcome by executive committee & any group announcements
8:00-9:00 - talks
Toby Beresford, a freelancer providing web 2.0 development, and organiser of
Facebook Developer Garage London, is going to talk on writing a simple
Facebook application with the CodeIgniter PHP framework.
